The Fourth Annual Albany Children's Book Festival, hosted by The Albany Academies, is expected to again draw nearly 800 families from throughout the greater Capital Region. The festival is free and open to the public. Local and regional children and young adult authors will be in attendance signing books, giving presentations, conducting workshops, and reading from their books. The mission of the event is to promote literacy to young people in our region by fostering a connection with authors and illustrators from their books.
To make this event successful, underwriting is critical. By being a sponsor, you can support literacy and the youth in our community by opening up their minds to the world of books.
The festival costs money, particularly as we grow into a regional event and expand our outreach into the community. Our budget covers such expenses as facility rentals, hospitality costs for authors and illustrators, publicity and promotional materials, signage and office expenses. That's why sponsorship is important and we hope you will consider being a part of our event.
